Challenge #10 - Candles and Cake

April is my birthday month and this challenge is to scrap a birthday celebration preferably including a cake and candles.  This can also be adapted for the card makers out there.

Challenge Number #9 - And The Mist Rolled In

Time to get Mucky!!

I was requested to put up a challenge to use the glimmer mists/cosmic shimmer mists - use these as part of a project/layout or card.

These mists work fabulously on any porous surface, or rough up and spray on other surfaces.....just takes longer to dry.  Paper blossoms look great I am told with some mist on.

Glimmer Mist Technique Hints
Glam It up with Glimmer Mist

  • Protect your work area............I spray on a non stick craft mat, and left over spray on there I 'mop up' with scraps of card to use on other projects.
  • Make sure you shake the bottle well to mix all the mica into the fluid....I store mine on their sides and this helps to mix the mica quicker
  • I also wipe the nozzle when finished with tissue in the hope that this will help prevent blockages.  Warm water I am told helps clear blocked nozzles.

Projects I have used my mists on........ps I have only been playing with them a few months.

ATC card spritzed with green and images stamped on top.

Challenge #7 - Say It with Flowers

I have seen these roses in various places, and have been meaning to get around to it........now I should really.

Love him or hate him Tim Holtz shows you how to make them here as part of his tag demo.

You will need a six petalled flower die/punch/template to make this, card and a wet glue.

Challenge #6 - A Trip Down Memory Lane

Hope you are wide awake for this challenge

Challenge #4 - My Favourites with a Twist

Krafty Karen's Challenge ~

Many challenges require you to get out of your comfort zone and use embellishments or techniques that you wouldn't normally use or are not your favourites.

My challenge is all about comfort and having fun and hopefully will put a smile on your face LOL!

  • Use your favourite colour
  • Use your favourite brand of patterned papers
  • Use your favourite embellishments
  • And use the techniques that you love the most
Well if that doesn't get you smiling I don't know what will LOL and the little twist is that when you finish your layout, before you clear away all your scraps - use them and make a quick card from your leftovers!
